September 2000 Meeting

The four ASM Intermational chapters in the LA area, Los Angeles, South Bay, Orange Coast and San Fernando wish to announce the first technical meeting of the year.

A Century of Miracles in the world of Metals and Materials


Mr. Ash Khare, President of ASMI, will be the featured speaker at the September 2000 meeting.

Mr. Ash Khare is presently the senior staff metallurgist, National Forge Company, Irvine, PA. He holds a Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Steven's Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ. He is a fellow of ASM, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Mr. Khare's technical expertise is in the area of production, fabrication, properties, and applications of open-die forgings of low, medium, and high alloy steels and superalloys. He has 20 U.S. and international patents, including those three steels called KHARE I, II, and III.

In addition, this meeting will be the annual Awards Night. Members will receive their award from Mr. Khare.
